Personal interests: Spending time with family and friends, all things creative, traveling, and simply enjoying life!

Styling background: Karla studied dry cutting techniques with the late John Sahag and his creative styling team at his Madison Avenue workshop. Her continuing education includes studying directly under Nick Arrojo (formerly of TLC’s “What Not to Wear”). Karla also continues to study the work of both Tim Hartley (of Davines) and Vidal Sassoon.

Specialty: Edgy and/or precision cuts – always personalized.

Personal Note: As a business owner and mother (of two wonderful children) I know what it’s like to be very busy. That’s why creating an effortless, manageable hairstyle for each client is a must. I not only shape your hair but also give you simple tips and techniques to make your styling at home as easy as possible.

After being in the salon industry for over a decade, Karla founded Slope Suds to bring high-end salon services to her Park Slope community.
